salicylic acid peel 8% question about sun exposure

i just purchsed the 8% peel, and ive done some research that you really need to apply a good spf with this. i live at the beach so its usually always sunny and beach time is a must. on the day i use this peel should i not go to the beach or out in the sun, or if i apply the spf am i okay. this is my first time using a peel. people are saying great things so i need to give it a try since my acne wont go away. what kind of moisturizer do you recommend that contain spf so i can use it as a everyday moisturizer?

Peels - Salicylic

I have been using the glycolic 10 wash daily + moisturizer (morning) with great results. I use a great basic cleanser before moisturizer/tazorac gel at night and I don't have any active acne and if I do manifest a pimple, it is so small and never more than one, maybe two. I do have an issue dealing with the light marks left behind. There are not too many but it is definitely enough to raise an eyebrow on my end. I am looking into doing mas/peel because, in the past, I went to an esthetician for glycolic acid peels which helped a lot. I cannot afford those procedures but I am curious about the options offered by Kavi. I was originally going to go for a low glycolic % mask weekly but a chart on the site seemed to point an arrow at salicylic masks for my needs. For acne marks and semi uneven texture, do I use glycolic or salicylic acid?

I was wondering if someone was not using a medicated cleanser just a standard mild one would there be anything wrong with using the Kavi Toner twice per day before moisturising or is it only used in the evening for specific reasons? Thanks.

Can you help please

I have horrendous, persistent blackheads / blocked pores and mild / moderate acne. I bought the coral and aqua bars and salicylic acid peel 15%, 6 weeks ago. The coral soap felt great when I first washed with it, but it did seem to make my spots much worse and my skin overly dry so I stopped using it. The aqua one seemed to irritate my skin the same, so I am wondering if its the sulphur my skin doesn't like? I am however very bad at not moisturising and wonder if this could be what I am doing wrong? My skin does sometimes get flaky and dry but I just hate moisturiser, it always makes me spotty, non pore blocking or not. The peel however doesn't upset my skin at all and feels great. In fact I always feel like I could leave it on longer, it doesn't sting much or make me go red. My face feels great for two days and then it reverts back. I have done 6 peels now but I still have blocked pores and my neck area is really spotty. I was wondering whether to buy the toner, moisturiser and spf30. Can you please make a regimen suggestion for me?

Recommended Regimen for Seborrheic Keratosis (SK)

Hi, I'm a 55 year old female and have had great success using glycolic acid for my face. Over the past few months I have been routinely (almost daily) using a 14% body lotion (another brand) for spots of seborrheic keratosis on my back and torso, with very limited success.

I would like to try using the 50% glycolic acid peel for SK, and wanted to ask if you had any special recommendations for using it for this purpose. Should I also follow the recommended regimen on your website (once per week for 6-8 weeks, followed by 4 weeks off), and also if I should continue using lower concentrations of glycolic acid body lotion between peels. I greatly appreciate any help you can provide! Thanks!

Hi, I need advice what is right for me.

I have mild / moderate acne but I would also like to get rid of older scars/dark spots from previous acne, I use Benzaclyin for spot treatment which works mostly and I have used pills in the past that stop working after time. I used accutane many years ago it dried my skin but later had it looking smooth and got rid of the acne and the marks. My skin is slightly sensitive also.
Would KAVI Salicylic Acid 8 help me?

Hi,

I have used many products on my face from Retin A, glycolic acid 10% to wash my face to Hydroquinone 4 also peels and microdermabrasion which I was doing once a week not too long ago. I just ordered the Glycolic Acid 50 and the Salicylic Acid 25% thinking my skin is very tolerant and I have never had reactions to what I have used or done in the past. Although after reading reading your forum I can see that you recommend using no more than 40% on the Glycolic Mask and 15% on the Salicylic, i am starting to think i made the wrong decision ordering such high streghth. What is your advice? should i go ahead and try it? I just what to make sure I wont regret the purchase and instead of helping my skin I will end up burning it.

When to start using Glycolic Acid?

Okay,

So I have been using Salicylic Acid 15% for the past few months & it has been getting rid of most, if not all, of my pimples (cysts, etc.);

I would like my skin's texture to look smoother, healthier, and at the moment I have some minor acne scarring (minor bump's on nose, red spot's on cheeks, minor scar's on cheeks, etc.)

Should my next peel be a Glycolic Acid peel? and at what strength would you recommend? Would you recommend any other product's to help my skin look smoother?

Thank you!

questions about starting KAVI products

I am 45 years old, female, and normally have slightly oily skin, with some enlarged pores, that is prone to breakouts, though generally nothing too severe, just a few pimples now and then. I have been using a Clarisonic skin care brush for the past few years and that has helped to keep my skin more balanced and clearer than it has ever been. In the past weeks I have been experiencing ongoing breakouts on my face, neck and upper chest. The breakouts on my face are the most severe, some days with new bumps, some hard and painful, appearing every few hours. Even the skin under my eyes, above my upper lip, and just beneath my eyebrows has been affected. Also on my jawline, which I understand from reading some of the other posts here might be caused by overdrying my skin, though I don't know if that's always true of jawline breakouts. The dermatologist I saw prescribed a face wash called PanOxyl-4 BP 4%, as well as topical antibiotics, something called Duac lotion and another called Clindagel, none of which has helped my breakouts, and while I was using the topical lotions, my skin broke out on my neck and chest too, in red spots some of which are little whiteheads and some that are just red and somewhat itchy. Prior to that, the breakout was just on my face (it started on my forehead in a line of angry red spots and spread to my nose and cheeks over a period of days). The dermatologist I saw also wanted me to take a month's worth of oral antibiotics (tetracycline) but I am reluctant to go down that road without trying something less invasive first. My skin has responded well to sulfur products in the past (I used to use a treatment cream by Shiseido that helped to keep my skin clear, but they stopped making it years ago.) I am interested in trying some of your products, but I am not sure where to start and which would be most appropriate for me at this time. At the moment I have abandoned the PanOxyl and the topical antibiotics, as the first was drying out my skin, and the latter seemed to be doing nothing or making things worse. Now I am using a store-bought hyaluronic hydrating cleanser, which at least is making my skin feel less dry, and applying a topical salicylic acid gel at night. If this is not helping it is not, so far, making anything worse. Also, I have not used my Clarisonic brush since the bad breakouts started for fear of aggravating my skin. I would very much appreciate any advice you have about KAVI products for me at this time. For example, the Coral KAVI bar soap sounds great, but I wonder if it will be too drying? My skin can usually tolerate a bit of dryness, but now the weather has changed and my skin all over my body is feeling dry, and I've noticed that even my hair is dry. Is it possible that when some sebaceous glands go crazy, others shut off? Or is that crazy? This is all driving me a little crazy.
Sorry for the long post, and thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hello,

So here is my problem:

During the week (Mon-Fri), I use Dermawash in the morning's then I apply some SPF 30 lotion.

In the evenings, I use the Aqua Kavi, then I apply some SPF 30 lotion.

I use Salicyclic Acid 15% once a week, on Saturday evening, & then I apply some SPF 30 lotion.

The problem? My skin seems dry or flaky, even after applying the SPF 30 lotion, it's noticeable around my chin/mouth area (where there isn't a whole lot of acne).

Sometime's I'll use more SPF 30 and that seem's to help it, but then that means I'll run out of SPF 30 faster!! lol

I use approx. a nickel sized amount of SPF 30, I rub it against my hands, then apply it on my face. But I find I have to do this twice/three time's to help the dryness/flakiness.

What could cause this? What product should I stop using? What product should I maybe look into purchasing?

Thank You.

Extremely oily skin

I have been using Coral Kavi for about a week now, I wash morning and night but usually only apply moisturizer at night(Complex 15). I have previously used benzoyl peroxide for the past 10 years of my life to treat my acne and oily skin. I was really hoping that the Coral Kavi would help reduce my oil production but it seems to be producing more oil then ever before. Could this be because my skin has not yet recovered completely from using benzoyl peroxide for all those years? I stopped using it about a week and half ago a few day before starting the Coral Kavi. Also, should I always be moisturizing after I wash with Coral Kavi or is it ok to go without? And what are you views on using complex 15 as a moisturizer with your products?

Transition from Benzoyl Peroxide to Coral Kavi

Hey guys,

I noticed that the support on this forum has been great from the Kavi team, so I was hoping someone could help me with a few quick questions. I'm currently on Daniel Kern's regimen from Acne.org, which mainly consists of a BP 2.5% gel that I use once a day. It's supposed to be used twice a day but I don't like sweating with BP on in the morning, as it does bleach clothes, so I only use it at night currently.

1. Would it be effective to use Coral Kavi in the morning and then the BP treatment at night?

2. I read here that people are transitioning to Coral Kavi because BP has premature aging effects. If I switch to Coral Kavi, is the two week break from treatment necessary?(I break out pretty fast without treatment)

3. When switching to Coral Kavi permanently, what effect would stopping treatment have? I know Coral Kavi makes your skin very dry with 1-2 washes a day. If you use it for awhile then discontinue use, will your skin go back to normal function or would there most likely be after effects like excess oil production?

Thanks!

Advice Please!!!

Hello,
I am a 26 yo female, I have just purchased the Anti Acne System 3 for Oily/Combination skin and Kavi Complex P. I am eagerly awaiting them to come!

I am a little nervous though, after reading through the forum that I may have purchased too strong of a system for my skin. I have fair skin, with red undertones (maybe rosacia? my parents both have it). Currently using OTC acne clearing cleanser with salicylic acid, toner with 2% salicylic acid and moisturizer with spf 15. After I wash my face it will SOMETIMES feel tight and some dryness occurs usually around my mouth. I apply the moisturizer and I find my skin is a oily. If I don't use the mositurizer, my skin will also feel oily, but only after a few hours. Sometimes flaking occurs, but only if I apply a spot treatment a bit too liberally (which is to be expected I guess!)

For quite a few years I was taking Dianne 31 for my acne and it cleared my skin really well, except for a few pimples around my period. I tried to stop taking it a few times, but in the first month of stopping it, my acne would return with a vengeance. I have recently left the country for 6 months, and just before I left, my doctor prescribed me with Seasonale, another birth control pill. I have been taking it for 2 months, but have been so dissapointed with not only whiteheads, but now I also have painful cystic acne, especially on my chin, jaw line, and some acne on my cheeks. I have decided to quit the Seasonale (apparently a side effect is acne), but now to deal with my cystic acne and I am sure more is on the way since I am not longer taking Dianne 31 either.

I have been reading through the forum boards and it seems as thought people who use Coral Kavi have extremely oily skin, whereas mine is sometimes normal, sometimes oily, sometimes dry. Always acne! There has also been mention that it may cause some breakouts along the jawline if it is too dry. I already have some cystic acne on my jaw, as well as little white bumps all over and whiteheads. Do you recommend that I begin the System 3 when it arrives, using the Kavi Coral 2 times per day or is it better to just start once per day in the evening and use a mild over the counter cleanser in the morning? Would it have been better to order the System which contains Aqua? I was considering it, but when I looked in the mirror, I decided to go with System 3 with Kavi Coral. If you do recommend the Aqua system, is it possible to change my order (I don't think it has shipped yet since it is Sunday).

Also, one more thing...I was looking on the site for a way to choose products suitable for me based on answering a set of questions. Would it be possible to incorporate this into the site (ie. going step by step through a set of questions, such as age, type of skin, type of acne, etc., and having a generated list of recommended products)?

Thanks!!!

I currently use Simone France products which are neutral and helpful to my skin as well as soothing, but I want to incorporate something for the aging process and also the frequent breakouts. I also work outside a great deal and do get sun exposure. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. It will be a couple of years more before I can afford a surgical procedure, and I am trying to achieve the best skin I can prior to undergoing anything surgical. Thanks much.

Advice on products

Hi! Loved reading about the forums and the advice given. I am trying to find an acne system that actually works. I have tried it all, OTC to the Derm and everything in between. The only thing that has even remotely given me good results is a sulfur mask. I am 25 and I think my acne is mostly hormonal. I get breakouts on my forehead, cheeks, and chin. I also have large clogged pores, that if I squeeze them a white plug will come out. This has not been an effective way of dealing with this, it comes out only to be back overnight. I am desperate for any advice. Thank you!

Reaction To Salicylic Peel

My son has a pretty serious acne condition and he has started using the Kavi Coral soap. We noticed a pretty dramatic iimprovement after the first couple of weeks and decided to try the Salicylic peel product. I purchased the 15% strength since he had several peels done at the dermatoligist office and had minimal side effects about a year ago. He hated going to the esthetician so we stopped the treatments after 3 or 4 peels but there was some improvement after these visits. I'm hoping that the Kavi salicylic peels may be a good option for him.

After applying the 15% peel and leaving it on for 20 seconds, his skin recovered very nice before he went to bed that evening. The redness had calmed down and his skin looked fine. The next morning there were several new breakouts on one cheek and chin. Does this sound like a normal reaction to the first peel or should we try the 8% product?

Thank you for your help...

My son has been on benzoyl peroxide wash, a benzoyl peroxide gel and tretinoin for over 2 and 1/2 years. The doctor advised us to stop prescriptions due to liver enzyme concerns and to find an over the counter treatment. However the dermatologist will not help in directing us to an otc (over the counter) treatment.

(FYI, 3 years ago we tried a popular acne kit advertised on tv, but it didn't work after about 6 months and he had huge breakout. That's when we went to dr to get help.)
My 15 year old son has has moderate to slightly sever acne. What can we do? What is best plan of treatment with your products to prevent a huge outbreak as we stop all prescription acne medicine?
Also I see your site says to consult dermatologist, but mine will not help with otc treatments. As a parent trying to help my son, can we do this on our own as we try you products?

Hello,
your products were recommended to me by an American friend. I browse your page and found out the anti acne system for oily or combination skin - system III which costs 128 dollars. My problems are acne, blackheads, small scarves after acne, oily skin. I am 25 years old and tried quite a lot of things, but no good result at all. Everybody says that it´s going to imrpove by age, but that´s not true. It´s still the same. Is this anti acne system III suitbale for me? Is possible to use it together with glycolic acid peels and can I do it home on my own? I am looking for some working solution - not just a small almost non-visible improve. Or can you recommend me the best solution? Last question is about the delivery- how much does the delivery to the Czech Republic costs and how long does it take? Thank you for your answer.

Hi,
I am wondering if you have any options for a scar treatment, not caused by acne. Two years ago, I had a hemithyroidectomy (all the results came back negative for cancer - yay!), but now I have a one inch scar on my neck. I have tried a couple of different oils (not religiously though). I do try to remember to apply sun screen to the scar when the area is exposed to sun. Do you have any products that you would recommend?

Need advice so I can purchase right products

Hi there I am very interested in buying one of the Kavi systems but dont know which to choose from. I have had acne my whole life. Right now I am 24 and have rosacea, severely dry skin and lots of cystic acne on chin and jaw line. I also get acne around my mouth area too. The thing is I would consider using the system for severe acne but with the rosacea and really dry skin I dont want to irritate my skin too much.. With the severity of my acne though I dont know if the moderate acne one would be better or if I need a combination of things or what?? Please help me out. thanks

Best products for my skin

I am contemplating trying Kavi products after reading some reviews.

I am 42 years old, blonde with fair, senstitive skin. I suffer from occasional breakouts, maybe one or 2 pimples every few weeks (but they take a long time to disappear), and have some issues with blackheads around my nose and bumps (whiteheads?) on my forehead. I have enlarged pores, and my skin tone and texture is uneven. I would say my skin is "normal" - it may veer more towards dry than oily. I have had some success lately using cleansers with the Olay Pro-X brush on my face in keeping my pores clean (but they are still enlarged).

After looking at your site, I thought the Anti Acne System for Normal/Dry Skin might be appropriate, but I certainly do not suffer from severe acne. I was looking at System II but wasn't sure if the E. Retinol would be better than the Salicylic Acid 8 for my skin type. I also wants sure if one of the cleansing bars would be more suitable, or of I should try the Glycolic Cleanser or DermaWash.

My goal is better skin texture, and clean, minmized pores.

Thank you!

Sigh. I need help

Hello. I'm a 23 year old college student, and I've had acne for almost 10 years now. I've pretty much tried every product except accutane and nothing has really worked on my skin -- at least not for a long period of time. I used to have very oily skin, but after using Benzaclin for almost a year my skin gets dry very easily (but it can get oily at times as well). Benzaclin worked wonders for me for a couple of months, but it became less and less effective as time went on. It dried out my skin so much, my skin developed eczema, and my skin no longer reacts well to any product with benzoyl peroxide. I've met with dermatologists many times and they prescribed me with different pills, but nothing has really worked.

Now, I've read many positive reviews on acne.org regarding KAVI products so I decided to give it a try. This June, I ordered Anti-Acne System for Oily and Combination Skin (System 4). For about first 2-3 weeks, it worked AMAZINGLY and my skin cleared up. I was so happy because I thought to myself.. I've finally found an acne product that works. From there everything went downhill. I started having breakouts around my jawline and painful cysts all over my cheeks. I figured Coral KAVI was too strong for my skin so I switched to Aqua Kavi, but didn't see huge difference in breakouts. Now, I don't even use the toner because I feel like it's causing even more breakouts. I still use Hyaluronic Acid 95 and SPF 30, but my acne is still in a bad condition. I've been using KAVI products for almost 2 months now, and except for the first few weeks, my acne actually got worse. I'm just not sure where to go from here..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regimen Advice

Hello, I am new to Kavi and i just wanted to ask a couple of questions:

First, I am interested in trying some your products, but am also somewhat unsure of which ones would prove beneficial for me. I am more interested in prevention of acne than treatment at this point. I have normal/combination skin, i tend to be oilier in my T-Zone and drier around my cheeks and mouth. I don't break out too often at the moment, but when i do occasionally suffer from break outs, it's mostly on my forehead, although i get a rare pimple in various other areas as well. Based on this, what products would you recommend?

Also, I have been using a drug store cleanser with 2% Salicylic acid (St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea); does this count as an acne treatment product and should i discontinue use for sometime before i start using Kavi products?

Finally, is Hyaluronic acid better suited for more mature skin? I've often seen it included in anti-aging products, which i have heard, if used too early, could actually damage younger skin. I'm 20 years old, would the Hyaluronic 95 moisturizer be appropriate for me?

Thanks so much, and i apologize for all the questions.

Hello, I have been using Kavi products for over a year now and have seen a great change in my skin. I use the coral kavi soap, toner, and salicylic acid mask once a week. I have noticed that everytime I use the salicylic acid treatment my skin looks a lot better and blemishes tend to start disappearing a couple of days after, but then tend to come back before the week is over.
Hi there,
I have been using coral kavi for over two weeks now and have noticed my skin is getting significantly worse. I use the product twice a day with my clarisonic brush. It seems like my skin is getting terrible and have huge zits on my chin and jawline. I am not sure if I should just return this stuff and try the aqua kavi or reduce my usage. I also use ERYTH-BENZ PEROX GEL at night as spot treatment. In addition, I have increased my water intake and have limited my dairy intake.
System II or III, what is best for my skin?

While I'm really excited to try KAVI products, and planning to purchase a regimen today, I do have a few questions because, as anyone who is dealing with acne knows, it's frustrating and wallet-draining to have to try numerous regimens, so I want to make sure that when I buy KAVI products, I am getting what is most suitable for my skin type.

Here is some background (sorry for all the info, but thanks in advance for your help!): Female, blonde, fair skin I would describe as slightly sensitive (I've never broken out in a rash on my face from any products I've tried, including salicylic acid scrubs, but my face/chest/back do get a little red after gentle washing), 21 years old, no medical conditions, on no medication besides Nystatin (essentially an anti-fungal, not designed to treat acne, is not absorbed into the blood, very mild and not contraindicative) I experience whiteheads and cysts/papules on the lower half of the face, along the jaw, and just under the jaw line, but never blackheads. Because of this, hyper-pigmentation, also some very mild pitted scarring on upper cheeks from teen acne. Occasional pimples on the chest and back. Uneven skin texture on face where acne not present (millia? I can't recall the term, but the numerous, tiny, colorless bumps all over the skin). Large pores.

I have had moderate acne since I was about fifteen. It began on my forehead and for the last six years has slowly drifted down my face through high school and college (anyone else have this experience?) where it now rests along my jaw and lower cheeks. I have virtually no acne above my lower face (if you drew a lateral line across my face, my acne would begin below my nose and the base of my ears). Around the time I turned 21, my acne became what was for me very bad; painful, inflamed, large cysts out of nowhere. I am not sure what to attribute this to, the development of adult hormonal acne or a result of a vigorous change of diet and lifestyle I began at the beginning of 2011 to be more natural and organic and to -help- my acne, which meant I dropped my old stand-by regimen for a natural skin regimen not highly targeted for acne. When I was much younger, I tried prescription peels and laser treatments I can't even remember the names of, and I tried Differin and Proactiv and I think briefly an antibiotic. This was all at least four or five years ago, and I can speak much to its efficacy because I was young and not strict with my skin regimens.

What depresses me is that my skin now, with my so-called "healthy" lifestyle, is -much- worse than a year and a half ago in college, during which time I slept in my make-up all the time on pillow cases I never washed. I ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, drank alcohol and milk/coffee/sugary drinks, indoor tanned, and washed my hair/used body products with what I now understand are harsh and potentially aggravating chemical ingredients. You couldn't pay me to do that now, I shudder thinking about what it would do to my face. These days I wash my face religiously, gently, morning and night, wear no make-up, switch pillow cases/sleep shirts nightly, avoid fabric softener, use natural shampoo, conditioner, and soaps and oils for my body (which has responded beautifully, the rest of my skin is perfect!), I eat a very healthy, pure diet of single-ingredient meals (avocadoes, steamed vegetables, organic Alaskan salmon, brown rice), take supplements recommended for acne (A, C, B-complex, Zinc, Omega 3-6-9, Garlic, Iron on my period, and a whole food multi-vitamin for a synergistic effect, all within optimum recommended intake dosages for my condition, along with Nistatin, an anti-fungal prescribed by my allergy doctor to treat potential candidiasis), and do yoga from 1-2 hours a day (I am even in the process of becoming yoga certified). I saw an allergy doctor to determine if I had severe food allergies; none were severe but I cut out eggs and wheat/barley/rye/oats (gluten) on top of my long-standing no sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol, no dairy, no soda/fast food/junk food diet. I also saw my OB/GYN for a hormone test to assess my testosterone levels, but they all came back normal! I wanted to cry, the only interesting result was that I was slightly potassium deficient, which can exacerbate acne, and so I began supplementing potassium for the last several weeks with no positive effect.

I still think my acne is hormonal by the nature of my break-outs (lower face, seems to be worse during my period, etc), perhaps a sensitivity to testosterone even if it is not elevated. I can't say my skin was perfect or even good in my early college days, maybe I just ignored it by wearing so much make-up all the time. My only genetic clues are my brother and mother. My brother's acne was much worse than mine and all over his back. He's clear now at 22 going on 23, and cleared up naturally when he was around my age. My mother however is tricky to figure out since she also had acne as a teen but spent most of her adulthood on birth control (in part to control her acne) which she says cleared her face wonderfully. I was on birth control from the time I was seventeen to nineteen, during which time my acne persisted and was pretty bad. I chalk it up to the kind I used, low estrogen to progestin ratio and high androgenicity. I am not currently on birth control though I am considering a low dose of spiro given that hormonal treatment cleared my mother's acne.

I am excited about KAVI products because the ingredients mirror what worked (at least, my skin was better then than it is now) for me in the past, before I ditched my skin regimen for a natural one. I was on Rodan + Fields Unblemish regimen, which has a sulfur wash, toner, and 5% BP treatment. I used this with the Neutrogena salicylic acid "stress power-scrub" between wash and toner. I used this regimen for several years between high school and college, and not even use it devotedly. Like I said, I slept in my make-up all the time and hated having to go all the way down to the dorm bathroom and wash my face at night, and my skin was *still* much better than it is now. I think sulfur and salicylic acid are good actives for me, nervous about a lack of BP, even though I was never a BP junkie I suppose. This regimen never dried me out, though I did have very, very oily skin and hair.

After I dropped Unblemish, I played around with a lot of products (this is just now since March or April of this year). I tried a bunch of herbal washes, as well as using carrier oils and essentials (tea tree, lavender) and I hate to say it, but those failed miserably, even though I was using them as directed and being gentle. I am allergic to ragweed, and so a lot of "natural" skin-care simply won't help because of the heavy reliance on herbs, it seems. I was spending hundreds of dollars and felt terrified because I was going in blind every time and felt uncomfortable not being on an actual regimen that was formulated to work in combination. I remembered that the Unblemish wash was 3% sulfur, and so now I am on the fifth week of a regimen of: sulfur bar to cleanse (Sul-Ray, with aloe vera and 5% sulfur), pure rosewater hydrosol to tone (just rose-water with purified water), and moisturizing with a mix of aloe vera gel, glycerin, and essential oils (lemongrass, tea tree oil) that don't irritate my skin. What HAS worked with this regimen that I have never achieved anymore is eliminating excess oil. I simply do not have oily skin anymore. It's not overly dry either, or tight. I would describe it as normal, but with acne, and still all those tiny, minute little bumps that make even my clear skin look like crap. I was optimistic that I had completely altered the balance of my skin, and thought, in time, acne would simply stop without all the excess oil. It didn't. I'm still breaking out in cysts on my lower face.

I'm at the end of my rope here. I have tried to be patient, I know I'm only five weeks in with this regimen I designed for myself, but I have been making significant steps forward with my general health since January, and barring my reckless early college days, I am in general very clinically healthy, slim, athletic, and have NO other conditions besides this. I just can't understand why it is getting worse and it's literally consuming my life.

My questions are, what would be the best KAVI regimen for me? Is it one of the systems available, or should I buy certain products for my own system. I need to control the cysts on the lower half of my face, and I want to reduce the hyper-pigmentation left behind by those cysts. I want to control the little skin bumps all over, and -maintain- my acne-free forehead/t-zone/upper face. I don't want to dry my skin out because like I said, because of what I'm using now, the skin isn't oily. I definitely don't want to break out all over my face starting something new. System II has the retinol for uneven skin tone and texture, but system III has the salicylic acid 8, and I don't know which is best for my skin.
Also, when I do get a regimen, should I use each step all over the face, chest, and back, or are there certain products I should just apply to my "bad" areas? I know that people who use a lot of BP may have an adjustment period switching to this with some initial breakouts. Right now, I have only this week been using my old Unblemish 5% BP sparingly as a spot treatment because I'm so desperate to get rid of these horrific cysts/papules.

Also, I have not taken any yet, but my OB/GYN agreed to prescribe me Spironolactone, beginning with the lowest dose of 25 mg, which rarely is enough to cure acne but allows for a gradual increase to a higher dose (50) with less irritating side effects. I have considered this drug for months and done much research on it. I am not an impatient person, but I feel that I have tried everything else and that I am in a very low-risk category for users of a medication like this. Will this combine poorly with a KAVI regimen? I want to start KAVI immediately, but I also know that with Spiro I'll be on the low dose for five or six weeks during which little is likely to happen anyway. My thought is that if KAVI significantly improves my skin in that time, I can ditch the Spiro, but if not, then I'll still be able to bump up a dosage after a significant trial period with KAVI without having to delay Spiro for another six weeks.

I'm sorry this is so long and congested, it's only that skin-care is expensive; it costs a lot of money, and a lot of time. I'm willing to invest both, and for the long haul, if I know that there is a good likelihood it will actually help me. I have a lot of faith in KAVI, the support forum is great and these regimens seem to make a lot of sense from a chemistry perspective. I've never used hyalauronic acid before, I've heard of it as a powerful and beneficial active, and I've also never used a topical retinoid (or internal, for that matter, I will never ever go on Accutane). I'm nervous about these products but also excited. I just want to be sure that I'm taking advantage of these products in the right way; like everyone else on here, I want the best possible combination to give my skin the best chance at being normal, soft, smooth, and not something that constantly ruins my quality of life. I'm sick of hiding in my house and feeling like I look dirty to people who see me in public :\

Thank you for reading all of this. I'm really excited at a new chance for good skin!!

I have started to use the Anti-acne systems for Oily skin for 3 days since Friday.
I used the Coral Kavi 2 times a day, Toner at night, Salicylic Acid 8 once, and Hyaluronic Acid 95 2 times a day.
I have really bad acne but I noticed that I have more BIG swollen red pimples along my jawline than before I used the system.
I don't know if 3 days is enough to tell if my skin is reacting correctly but I am kind of worried.
After using the system, I do not feel excessively dry.
(So I thought my skin is not really reacting to it except I have more acne now)

Hello,

I just started using the KAVI Salicylic Acid 15 Peel for about 3 weeks, however this morning when I was going to apply it for the 3rd time I think I may have put on too much for too long (roughly 60-70 seconds)

Normally it burns/turns red for 10-30 mins after washing off, but its night time now and I still have a fair few dark red/brown spots and some patches of redness that are a bit sore..
I'm just wondering what should I do now and how long it'll take to recover...

Cystic Acne + Coral Kavi + Salicylic Acid 15%

So I'm going on 3 weeks of using the Salicylic Acid 15% (3rd application on Monday) and have been using Coral KAVI twice a day for about a week and a half since I've read that the combination was a good once as I have oily skin and mild acne (cystic and white heads on my chin + cheeks and blackheads on my nose + forehead).

It was working pretty well when I first started it, and I saw it made a few of my open whiteheads disappear completely within a few days. I was really happy, but the problem is that I've started getting cystic acne on my chin and whiteheads/little bumps on my forehead. I just now read that that's supposed to mean I'm drying it out too much, but what about the cystic acne part? I couldn't find that as a side-effect or anything, and it's bothering me a bit since I'm going on vacation on Wednesday. Am I irritating it too much even though my skin is oily? Should I try dropping it to once a day wash with the Coral Kavi? I don't want to stop the Salicylic Acid since I thought it was making an improvement, but I'm just not sure (especially with scarring!).

Also, is washing your face once a day okay? It won't leave any stuff on it throughout the night/day?

Lastly, I use this moisturizer (not kavi related) and it makes my skin look greasy after I just washed it to get the grease away, so I'm thinking of stopping it. Is there a product that I can put on to protect my face in the sun/moisturize it without looking greasy?

Sorry for all the questions, but you all answer so quickly and are really helpful. I appreciate any response.

Adding jojoba oil

I'm a new Kavi user, just got my first order (super fast shipping!) of Salicylic Acid 8% and Complex C to fight acne and wrinkles. I got a little nervous when I saw that the two bottles barely fill the palm of my hand and had cost a hundred dollars. But I'm hopful and willing to make the investment if it works!

I had recently added jojoba oil to my morning regime; I would mix it in with my moisturizer, which also has an SPF of 15. Now that I have the Complex C, I feel like that should replace my moisturizer, which leaves me with two questions: Can I add the jojoba oil to it, and how do I then get an SPF in there? A basic plan of when to use all my products would be helpful, too, my products being: Kavi SA 8%, Kavi Complex C, organic jojoba oil, witch hazel (pew! ), Aveeno positively ageless daily exfoliating cleanser, and Aveeno Ultra Calming moisturizer with SPF 15. Thanks in advance!

Question about starting with Salicylic 8 or 15

Hi Kavi Support

I'm thinking of purchasing one of your acne systems, which will obviously include a Salicylic Peel, and I was wondering whether to start with 8 or 15%.

From reading other posts and FAQ's its clear to see you usually advise to start with 8%, however I've had Salicylic peels done at beauty spas, and they have been at 15% with which I've had good results

Kavi Anti-Acne System - RESULTS

I have to begin by saying KAVI is wonderful! I am a 25 year old female that has had problems with mild to moderate acne and oily skin since I was 15. In my teens I went to the dermatologist and was given prescriptions for a benzyl-peroxide wash and tazorac. I these products helped my skin but did not cure it, I thought I am a teenager, this is normal. When I was 20 and still having the same problems with my skin I decided to try proactive – it worked, my skin was clear for the first time but then I got these dry patches. After about 3 years the dry patches got bigger and my skin would still break out occasionally. It seemed that proactiv worked better in the beginning but then it stopped working. So I tried something else, Kiehls for oily skin. My face broke out horribly! (I now know that it was probably because my skin was over dry and over-treated from being on proactive for so long) I then tried a few other products, Aveeno, Neutrogena, then back to proactive; all in the hopes of getting my skin clear again but with no results. Thanksgiving of last year I went on a trip and the place I stayed at had a very high sulfur content in the water, you turned the shower on and it swelled like rotten eggs. Anyway, my skin loved it! I was there for a week and had zero breakouts (I also happened to forget my proactive and was only washing with a mild soap). I also knew that the proacvtiv sulfur mask had worked well on my skin. So I quit the proactive and went on a Google search for sulfur skincare products; I found Kavi. I ordered the Anti-Acne Systems for Oily or Combination Skin, System III, $140 and two days later I began using Kavi. It has been 12 weeks and my skin is beautiful! All of my papules and pustules are healed, my blackheads and whiteheads are on their way out, and my skin is radiant! So these are the products I use, I ended up buying more than just System III:
Morning:
Wash with Coral Kavi
Treat any problem spots with Kavi Complex P (this has BP and can dry your skin, use sparingly)
Moisturize with Hyaluronic Acid 95 or if going outside with SPF 30 (my skin seems to get oily if I use both so I just pick one)
Then apply make-up, I use bare minerals and it doesn’t irritate my skin and keeps it glowing not oily

Evening:
Wash with Coral Kavi in the shower (I break out on my back before my period so I also wash my back)
Get extra clean with the toner
Apply Salicylic Acid 8 once/twice per week:
1st week: 30 seconds
2nd week: 60 seconds
3rd – 9th week: 90 seconds
10th -11th week: twice per week Mondays and Thursdays for 90 seconds
12th week: let skin rest
Moisturize with Hyaluronic Acid 95
Treat any problem spots with Kavi Organic Sulfur Suspension (you have to glob it on and it stays yellow so only use at night, works well and not too drying)

Spending $150-$200 for skincare may seem like a lot. But it is well worth it for results. The products last quite a while too. I am still on my first bar of soap, about ½ way through the toner, haven’t made a dent in any of the others and just reordered the moisturizer.

How much to use?

Hi,

I just ordered the salicylic acid 8 peel, and I've applied it once, though I'm not sure how effective my application method was.

How much of the liquid should be dispensed onto the gauze pad / cotton swab? Should a certain number of drops be used, should a certain area of the pad be saturated, etc.? Also, when applying to one's face, should different areas of the pad be utilized -- for example, use the front of a cotton swab for the forehead and chin and the reverse for both cheeks? Or, do you simply rub the pad over the entire face?

Hopefully that all makes sense -- thanks! Any additional 'application' advice / instructions are welcome, of course.

Hi

I have been using the coral Kavi bar for 5 days now, two times a day and some times three times a day. It has helped the cystic acne a little bit but I get two or three white heads on my face, also when I wash my face it gets itchy for an hour. From using it so far I got a feeling that Coral helps the recovery process but it is not a cure, since I get new cysts on my face, maybe I need to wait more to see the result, I don't know! I have an oily skin, especially my nose and the cheeks close to my nose from my mouth to beneath my eyes , I get cysts mostly on my cheeks close to my nose, some times on the nose, back of my head when my hair is short and back and chest pretty rarely. I am white and I have a pretty thick hair, my face is always red and inflamed, when I am taking a shower I can see a huge contrast between my face and body. Anyways, I have tried many things so far (I am male 25) and am still looking for an answer, If you have any suggestions for me, please let me know what that is and also about the risks of using the products as well as Coral Kavi in long run.

Thank you very much, I hope this is the last time I am looking for an acne cure!

Hi,

I have used Benzoyl Peroxide for almost 10 years now, but want to change to someting else. How do I know if I have oily or dry/normal skin? I try to use Benzoyl Peroxide twice a day, but I usually have to do it only once a day or stop for several days as my skin gets too dry. (flakes). I have tried a lot of moisturisers, but most, if not all of them give me a shine and I have to dab of excessive moisture a few times a day. I have also noticed that many moisturisers and especially sunscreens do not go into my skin, but rather stay on top of it. ( If I put it on at night it is gone by morning, but I usually I just have to dab it off as I don't have time to wait several hours until the moisturiser/sunscreen vanishes ito the skin. To summerise my skin is to dry to put on Benzoyl Peroxide twice a day, but I also get a shine from moisturisers and sunscreen. What acne-system should I try?

Thank you.

Incorporating a glycolic acid cream with Coral Kavi

Hey there,

First, let me start off by saying that I started using Coral Kavi about one and a half months ago, to treat pretty mild acne and excessive oil. The excessive oil was undoubtedly caused by a glycolic acid cream (from Acne.org), which, aside from making me very oily the following day, did wonders for clearing my skin of debris and making my overall complexion better. Ultimately I chose to stop using it, as the resulting oil was just too much...and it wasn't terribly effective at treating these very small whiteheads I would get near my nose. I should also mention that I was on Oracea (40 mg doxycycline) back then, just as something I thought was treating inflammation, but now I realize wasn't that effective either.

So currently I'm just using the Coral Kavi bar morning and night, and that's it. No moisturizers or anything else. For the most part it's been working pretty well; I haven't had any inflamed acne, it's completely controlled my oil, and the miniscule whiteheads I was getting around my nose have subsided entirely. I have gotten a couple of blemishes on my cheek which I don't normally get, but it's hard to tell whether they are/were even acne. They aren't inflamed, and generally they haven't developed further than just a slightly raised mark. Perhaps I'm washing for too long and it's drying me out?

Being multiracial, I still have pigmentation left over from acne that has long since disappeared, so I'm wondering if I should, or what the best way would be to incorporate the same glycolic acid cream mentioned above, with Coral Kavi. Would it be too irritating to put on the glycolic acid cream after washing with the bar at night? Is it a bad idea to use the cream at all? Would Coral Kavi control the oil the following day? I could probably get by just using Coral Kavi and letting time take care of the uneven complexion, but I kind of miss how exfoliating the glycolic acid was.

Thanks for any response!

Important Notes on Using Coral KAVI

In addition to the product information available elsewhere on this forum and on the product page itself, please review the contents of this post to maximize your chances of success.

What is Coral KAVI?
Coral KAVI is a medicated cleansing bar. We don't call it a soap because that term often implies a product made with tallow (animal fat). Instead of tallow, we use palm oil, an ingredient that is animal-free and better for your skin. Coral KAVI is "medicated" because it contains two active ingredients that will treat a set of skin conditions. These ingredients are sulfur and salicylic acid.

Which skin conditions will Coral KAVI treat?
The primary indication for Coral KAVI is acne (all forms of it, including papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts). Coral KAVI may also be used to treat rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, pityriasis versicolor, or some other condition for which your physician may find Coral KAVI suitable. Many have found that Coral KAVI works effectively to control excessively oily skin. While Coral KAVI is not a treatment for oily skin, it is a much safer alternative to currently available treatments such as isotretinoin and may be used indefinitely without incurring side effects.

How does Coral KAVI work to treat acne?
To understand how Coral KAVI works, it might be better first to understand how acne infections form. The three components required for an acne infection can be found on everyone's skin: acne bacteria, sebum (oil), and dead skin cells. If acne bacteria can be found in large numbers in and around pores, and should sebum and dead skin cells form comedones to block a pore opening, the acne inside a pore will begin to replicate rapidly and result in an infection. The body's immune system will then respond, sending enough T-cells to the pore to neutralize the infection. The result is a pus-filled lesion inside the pore that is unsightly and often painful. The reasons vary why some people suffer from chronic acne into adulthood while others have experienced only a mild adolescent outbreak, but generally speaking, an excess of any one or all of the three components mentioned above can play the leading role in acne infection. The more a product or set of products helps to correct these imbalances, the more effective it will be in treating chronic acne infection.

The actives in Coral KAVI, sulfur and salicylic acid, are
antiseptic (antibacterial, antifungal),
antiseborrheic (drying),
keratolytic (exfoliating),
comedolytic (able to unclog pores), and
pH-balancing (able to help restore the skin to its natural pH of 5.5).

This combination of attributes in a single product is what makes Coral KAVI so effective for so many people. Use of Coral KAVI as directed will help to achieve the following results in as early as 48 hours from the start of treatment:

* acne bacterial populations on the skin's surface will be reduced, thereby reducing the chances for infection
* excess sebum will be cleansed, reducing the available adhesive for cellular debris to form comedones at pore openings
* cellular debris will be exfoliated, reducing the availability of material that can bond together with sebum to form comedones at pore openings
* existing comedones will be dissolved, helping to drain infected pores and those in danger of infection
* the skin's pH will be restored, enabling the skin's natural acidity to keep acne populations from growing out of control (note that traditional soaps are very alkaline)

How should I be using Coral KAVI?

Coral KAVI should be used as you would use any other cleanser. You may use it for your face, body, or both. There is no need to let the lather rest on your skin any longer than you would leave a traditional soap, however make sure that the product has no less than 30 seconds and no more than two minutes of contact with the skin (any less and the product's efficacy would be compromised; any more and you would risk drying out your skin).

The correct frequency of use varies greatly between individuals. Those with very oily skin can use Coral KAVI up to three times per day (and in some cases, two washes per use) while those with dry skin may only be able to use the product once per day and only during the summer months, when sebum production is at its peak. The reason for this variance is due to the product's strong antiseborrheic nature. Not only are its actives antiseborrheics but even its cleansing base, palm oil, is intended for use on oily or combination skin. For the greater majority of people treating a persistent acne problem, however, once to twice per day will be the ideal frequency of use. Because Coral KAVI's ingredients are naturally-derived and without any harmful chemicals or synthetics, it may be used indefinitely as a total replacement to traditional animal-based soaps you may have been using to date.

Those with naturally dry skin or skin that has dried out from the use of other anti-acne medication risk severe irritation if they introduce Coral KAVI into their daily regimen. Though temporary, symptoms include tightness and pain on the skin's surface, inflammation, and/or a rash of numerous, small whiteheads (this is believed to be an immune response to the dryness). In some cases, cyst-like lesions may also appear. If you currently use prescription or over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide (including ProActiv), take oral antibiotics for your acne (e.g., tetracycline, minocycline, etc.), or employ any other antiseborrheics in your skin care regimen, you should consult your dermatologist for possible contraindications. If you are switching to Coral KAVI from another anti-acne treatment plan, give your skin at least two weeks to recover from the prior treatment before introducing Coral KAVI. If you do not take enough time between plans, you may be compounding treatment and risk irritating your skin. Alternatively, consider that while Coral KAVI is the strongest anti-acne cleanser KAVI makes, it doesn't mean that it's the right one for you. You may wish to skip Coral KAVI altogether and instead choose a milder cleanser still suitable for acne, such as Aqua KAVI or DermaWash.

Will Coral KAVI alone be enough to treat my acne?

It depends, but for most people, the answer is no. Coral KAVI will get you between 50% to 66% of the way there. Additional treatment, such as a daily serum, nightly toner, and/or a weekly salicylic acid mask may be required. Dietary and lifestyle changes may also be necessary. Examples may include avoiding red meat and/or other foods with hormones or other entities that may trigger breakouts, reducing exposure to airborne particles that may clog pores, ensuring all sunblocks, lotions, clothing detergents, etc. are non-comedogenic and with pH less than or equal to 7, and even introducing steam baths into your schedule to help keep pores clear.

Should I be moisturizing my skin while I use Coral KAVI?

Dry skin is not an acceptable side effect of any anti-acne treatment. Proper hydration (whether applied topically or imbibed orally) along with safe levels of exposure to the sun are the most important measures one can take to slow the onset of premature aging. If you are unsure of which moisturizers to use to avoid aggravating your acne, note that all of KAVI's moisturizers are non-comedogenic and safe for sensitive pores.

I have been using Coral KAVI for about two weeks now. After, years of trying everything, I decided to try this positively reviewed bar of soap. I use only Coral in the mornings, and occasionally at night when I feel that my face is extremely oily. Anyways, for the first week I felt like everything was perfect, and my skin started clearing up. But, now I am getting whiteheads everywhere, my skin feels dry and tight for a few hours after use, and my skin is red and blotchy. I don't want to stop using KAVI, as I feel like it is the best approach I can get. My skin is as follows: I get whiteheads, blackheads, oily nose and forehead, red patches, and overall red appearance (especially neck and cheek areas). Like I said, I am only using the Coral bar. Am I doing something wrong? I also have the Aqua KAVI, but I am unsure of its potency against acne (assuming acne is my most prominent condition).

Ok, technically, I've had acne all my life. But nothing that would really bother me. I mean, we all have a pimple here and there. But when I turned 20, I started to get a few a month, again, not too much of a problem. But I also had a skin infection so I saw a dermatologist who asserted all my skin issues are from acne and put me on antibiotics and topicals and birth control and now my skin is the worst its ever been. I am currently on birth control and have since stopped the antibiotics, but my "hormonal acne" is the worst its ever been. My skin also does not tolerate chemicals very well, with the exception of sulfur (I was on Bactrim and also a Sodium Sulfacetamide topical and they were fine, but too powerful)

Would you reccomend the Aqua Kavi Bar for me? And does anyone have experience with the Kavi line helping hormonal acne?

(I only break out before/during my period, but it leaves scars and wounds whether I pick or not)

Thanks

Hi there,

I started using Kavi Coral a couple of weeks back to treat my adult acne and have been really pleased with the results. My skin really cleared up within a few days.

So, I decided to order the full acne treatment system and started using some of the other products from yesterday.

I used the microderm exfoliator in the am while taking a bath (in Epson salts). Then, I used Kavi Coral, Kavi Toner and the Hyaluronic Acid 95 and a little of the Sulphur suspension on a couple of spots.

In the pm I used Kavi coral again, the toner and the Hyaluronic acid again.

By this time, a couple of large, tender cystic-acne-like bumps had swelled up around my lower jaw.

I was wondering if you had any idea what might have caused it. Do you think it could be the toner?

Today I've just gone back to using the Coral and a little of the Hyaluronic Acid and will see how it goes.

I guess I might just have to experiment a little and see what works for me. I don't want to try using the Salicylic acid peel until my skin totally clears up again.

Thanks in advance!

Bad Breakout

I have been using the koral kavi soap for just under a week now. I am also using the Complex P for spot treatment at night and my moisturizer, Complex 15, which I have used for over a year now. It is the week before my period and I usually break out a bit more than usual this week. However, the breakout I have right now is quite possibly the worst I have ever had. I have 7 very large, red, and painful pimples all over my face as well as about 9 new, smaller breakouts. The 7 large pimples are so big they look swollen and are very noticeable. I have had pimples like this before but only very rarely. What could be causing this terrible breakout? Does kavi sometimes make skin much worse before it improves?

So frustrated

I am a 25 year old Caucasian female. I have a full-time job, am a homeowner, and am in grad school. I just got married 3 months ago. I should be loving and enjoying my life, but I'm not, thanks to acne. I have struggled with acne for as long as I can remember. I've seen multiple dermatologists, who sometimes offered up solutions that worked but they never seemed to work long-term or the dermatologist would reduce my dosage and I'd break out again. I've tried every over-the-counter product on the market as well as some other systems (Proactiv, Exposed, acne.org regimen). Some of these work, but never consistently or long-term. I am at my wit's end trying to find a solution. I find myself literally hiding from life - calling out of work during a bad breakout, coming up with excuses not to see friends, even shying away from my husband - all thanks to my acne. I stumbled across KAVI on the acne.org message boards. I read all about you on your website and you seem to take a different approach to treating acne. Since I've tried EVERYTHING else, I figured, why not? My skin is the epitome of combination skin - it gets so oily that I use oil blotting sheets 5-10 times per day. And yet, at the very same time, so dry that I carry around tweezers to remove the constantly peeling skin. Sometimes I simply smile and the skin around my mouth cracks and peels. I don't know how to classify my acne, I get the red bumps, occassional whiteheads, and extremely painful, huge cysts (I guess that's what they are) that take forever to go away. I just ordered the coral soap, salicyclic acid peel (8), and KAVI complex P. I am keeping my fingers crossed that your products will provide some relief. Otherwise, I feel I am out of options

I am interested in my daughter trying your products but would like her to consult with a dermatologist as to which products are right for her. She is eighteen years old, very fair, normal to dry in the winter, normal to slightly oily in the summer, small pores but has a tendency to break out. She is currently using Obagi Clenziderm and I think her problem may be that it is too strong for her fine skin and is causing irritation. We live in the 49735 zip code and she is in college in the 48825 zip code. Are there any dermatologists in either of these areas that carry your products?

extremely dry skin

I just started using the anti-aging Kavi skin care set on Saturday. I bought the set with 30% glycolic acid. My face felt really soft at first. Today(Monday) it feels extrememly dry. I realized today that I had not seen the moisturizer in the box, so I'm assuming that's why my skin is so dry. It feels like I have tiny bumps on my face. It just feels rough. Should I only use the cleanser and moisturizer for a few days? Do you think the 30% is too strong for me?

Not sure whats best for my skin?

Hi, I've been trying to get rid of my acne for the past couple years now. I've tried many different scrubs, soaps, and creams but they all end up giving me the same results and my acne comes back. I think I generally have pretty light acne except during my period when it gets pretty bad. My skin tends to be pretty dry, except for a couple spots that sometimes get oily, depending on the season. I sometimes break out on my back too. I'm really hoping I can find something that clears up my face so I don't have to cake on my face with cover up. Would the coral kavi help or would aqua be better? I'm looking for something strong and effective but that won't dry out my face too much? Thanks so much.

OMG!! (Coral Kavi)

I just ordered the Coral Kavi and Salicylic Acid 8 peel. Just wanted to say, first off, that I have been using the Coral Kavi for only ONE day (last night and this morning) and I can already tell a HUGE difference in how much oil my skin has produced. Normally by mid afternoon I'm a grease pit and I have to use those Clean and Clear oil absorbing sheets, and only halfway through the day I can make one of those things completely clear with all the oil and gunk on my face. Today...for the first time in over 10 years, there is no trace of oil on my face. I absolutely cannot believe it. I'm floored. What an amazing product! I can't wait to try the peel, and see what a difference both products will make in several weeks!

I did, however, have a few questions. I can't afford the entire Kavi line (the Coral and peel already put me back a little, but so far totally worth it!) so are there any specific brands of toners or moisturizers (esp. moisturizers) that would work well with the Kavi system that I can get at a drug store? Also, I'm a little scared to try the peel, as I only have two days off work per week and I don't want to go back looking like a peely monster. I'm in customer service and it wouldn't go over well. LOL. Judging by some of the answers I've seen so far on the forum, it sounds like the peel takes a day or two to actually start 'peeling' the skin. If I have off work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, what day of the week would be best to administer the peel so that I can spend those days looking like a peely freak in the comfort of my own home? Haha. Thanks for making such awesome stuff, you've gained a lifetime customer in less than 48 hours!

For my skin?

I'm trying to figure out what products i should get. Im 20 years old, male. My face is normally oily and shiny. I have a few break outs here and there that i would like to get rid of but nothing major. My other concerns are dark circles under my eyes and a red tone to my face. I do tan indoors which doesnt help. My body never burns but it seems like my face gets somewhat redder/pink when i tan, like im blushing. I dont believe i have rosacea though. I placed an order for the 8% salicylic acid hoping to help my breakouts and help with what ever sun damage is happening to my face.

So basically im looking for something to eliminate:
-dark/brownish circles under my eyes
-acne
-oil
-redness

Hi

My hair follicles are getting clogged and causing acne-like bumps to appear that later turn into blackheads.

I was given a prescription for Salvax 6% Salicylic Acid for, what I was told, an Hyperkeratotic Scalp Condition.

I have used it for 2 months with little results.
glycolic mask vs botox

Hi, I am a current customer, and I am wondering if your glycolic 30 or 40 mask is effective enough to forgo a botox and/or restylane treatment? I am only 40, so I do not have deep wrinkles yet, but my forehead expression lines are bothersome, along with the "angry marks" between my eyebrows. I do not expect perfection with the mask, just a noticeable softening of the lines.

I am interested in your Glycolic acid 20, but do not see any instructions on how to use it. How long do you leave it on? How often do you use it? Is there a neutralizer that goes with it? Can you use this on the neck and chest areas? Any information would be appreciated.

First of all, this is a wonderful site. It has so much info that is easy to understand. My problem is just making sure I pick the right thing and that is where I need your help.
I am 47, going thru the last parts of the change of life. I have always had problem skin. Big pores and breakouts. I will list my problems now that I am facing with my face -
1-scarring from acne AND from picking at my skin. I know now what can happen when you pick at your acne breakouts.
2-large pores
3-WRINKLES
4-looks like I have some under the skin pimples but they are not red, just seem to look "bumpy" in places.
5-clogged pores-even after I try and wash, mask etc...
6-I had profraxel/microabrasion procedure done abour 3 years ago but never saw much of a change. If anything, it seems like now that my skin tears easy. It is super soft.
7-Dry patches of skin like my nose, cheeks, chin but yet it feel oily too.

I am interested in your peels first and foremost but am having a struggle as what one i need to use.
Switch to Coral Kavi

Hi! I am buying the Coral Kavi and have read rave reviews about it. I have noticed that it contains 2% sulfur and salicylic acid. My dermatologist gave me a bar of pure sulfur soap. That bar is now gone, and I am searching for another with sulfur. Here's is my daily regimen: Morning-2% Salicyclic Acid cleanser, Moisturizer, Acanya; Night-Sulfur, Salicyclic Cleansing Pad, Moisturizer, Acanya. Does this sound good? My face has never been clearer. Even though my acne isn't completely gone, it still looks good. So, here's my question. Will the Coral Kavi work me? I am scared to death that it will break me out, but would it since my skin is used to and already exposed to sulfur and salicylic acid?

I purchased your Salicylic 8 and I am used to using more of a gel form. This one is a bit watery. I am interested in the 25%. Do you have any in a thicker gel form. So it will not run down the face or into the eyes. Thank you, Sara
