So frustrated

I am a 25 year old Caucasian female. I have a full-time job, am a homeowner, and am in grad school. I just got married 3 months ago. I should be loving and enjoying my life, but I'm not, thanks to acne. I have struggled with acne for as long as I can remember. I've seen multiple dermatologists, who sometimes offered up solutions that worked but they never seemed to work long-term or the dermatologist would reduce my dosage and I'd break out again. I've tried every over-the-counter product on the market as well as some other systems (Proactiv, Exposed, acne.org regimen). Some of these work, but never consistently or long-term. I am at my wit's end trying to find a solution. I find myself literally hiding from life - calling out of work during a bad breakout, coming up with excuses not to see friends, even shying away from my husband - all thanks to my acne. I stumbled across KAVI on the acne.org message boards. I read all about you on your website and you seem to take a different approach to treating acne. Since I've tried EVERYTHING else, I figured, why not? My skin is the epitome of combination skin - it gets so oily that I use oil blotting sheets 5-10 times per day. And yet, at the very same time, so dry that I carry around tweezers to remove the constantly peeling skin. Sometimes I simply smile and the skin around my mouth cracks and peels. I don't know how to classify my acne, I get the red bumps, occassional whiteheads, and extremely painful, huge cysts (I guess that's what they are) that take forever to go away. I just ordered the coral soap, salicyclic acid peel (8), and KAVI complex P. I am keeping my fingers crossed that your products will provide some relief. Otherwise, I feel I am out of options

Where to buy

I am interested in my daughter trying your products but would like her to consult with a dermatologist as to which products are right for her. She is eighteen years old, very fair, normal to dry in the winter, normal to slightly oily in the summer, small pores but has a tendency to break out. She is currently using Obagi Clenziderm and I think her problem may be that it is too strong for her fine skin and is causing irritation. We live in the 49735 zip code and she is in college in the 48825 zip code. Are there any dermatologists in either of these areas that carry your products?

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am 53 years old and have oily skin. I experience frequent breakouts, have enlarged pores, and wrinkles around my eyes and mouth. Also on my forehead and between my eyes. I was thinking about integrating a peel into my regimen. I currently use Simone France products which are neutral and helpful to my skin as well as soothing, but I want to incorporate something for the aging process and also the frequent breakouts. I also work outside a great deal and do get sun exposure. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. It will be a couple of years more before I can afford a surgical procedure, and I am trying to achieve the best skin I can prior to undergoing anything surgical. Thanks much.

Using Kavi with 10 0 6 and benzaclin

I have been using formula 10 0 6 from bonnebell for over 10 years, and have always had compliments on my clear skin. However, they recently changed the formula and the new formula isnt working as well as the old, so I decided to try your products. I just ordered the Coral Kavi and the toner. I was planning on using the 1006 in the mornings before I apply my makeup and use my prescription benzaclin as a spot treatment. Is that too much? Im afraid that Im going to break out. My skin is still pretty clear for the most part, except Im getting tiny pimples on my nose, chin and areas surrounding my nose.

Here are the ingredients for the new 10 0 6 (they removed the resorcinol):
Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua) Soldium PCA, Lactic Acid, Fragrance/Parfum, Allantoin, Sodium Carbonate, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citral, Comarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Isoeugenol, Limonene, Linalool, FD&C Red 4 (CI 14700), FD&C Yellow 5 (CI 19140), FD&C Yellow 6 (CI 15985).

I like that there is allantoin and lactic acid in the 10 0 6.

In the Benzaclin is:
Clindamycin 1% and Benzoyl Peroxide 5%

Thanks!!!!

Hello, could please advise me on choosing best suitable products for me? From cleaning to moisturising? I am 32, have normal skin with oily T-zone and clogged pores on nose. Small wrinkles are starting around eyes and forhead. I have just been on proffessional chemical TCA peeling cures and I am looking for suitable products to continue with skin regeneration and prevention. I am not sure if peels can be used after the TCA cure which peeled me deaply already. Please advise.

irritated facial skin

I am asian and turning 40 this year no wrinkles but facial lines especially on my nasolabial folds of my face.i am using antiaging system 3 for normal skin.i'm on my 3rd week now of glycolic peel(Glycolic acid 30) and haven't noticed any major peeling on my face though i noticed some improvements on my facial skin texture. but i have a query coz on my second week of using the glycolic peel i must have burned and irritated my skin especially on the nasolabial folds of my face, the peeling on the nasolabial folds have stop but it had left a darker color that makes the nasolabial folds of my face more prominent so my question is will it get lighter and what can i do to improve the appearance of that facial line? and how can i maximize the use of my kavi system? and usually how long will it take to notice a big difference on my facial skin? thanks in advance.

extremely dry skin

I just started using the anti-aging Kavi skin care set on Saturday. I bought the set with 30% glycolic acid. My face felt really soft at first. Today(Monday) it feels extrememly dry. I realized today that I had not seen the moisturizer in the box, so I'm assuming that's why my skin is so dry. It feels like I have tiny bumps on my face. It just feels rough. Should I only use the cleanser and moisturizer for a few days? Do you think the 30% is too strong for me?

Not sure whats best for my skin?

Hi, I've been trying to get rid of my acne for the past couple years now. I've tried many different scrubs, soaps, and creams but they all end up giving me the same results and my acne comes back. I think I generally have pretty light acne except during my period when it gets pretty bad. My skin tends to be pretty dry, except for a couple spots that sometimes get oily, depending on the season. I sometimes break out on my back too. I'm really hoping I can find something that clears up my face so I don't have to cake on my face with cover up. Would the coral kavi help or would aqua be better? I'm looking for something strong and effective but that won't dry out my face too much? Thanks so much.

OMG!! (Coral Kavi)

I just ordered the Coral Kavi and Salicylic Acid 8 peel. Just wanted to say, first off, that I have been using the Coral Kavi for only ONE day (last night and this morning) and I can already tell a HUGE difference in how much oil my skin has produced. Normally by mid afternoon I'm a grease pit and I have to use those Clean and Clear oil absorbing sheets, and only halfway through the day I can make one of those things completely clear with all the oil and gunk on my face. Today...for the first time in over 10 years, there is no trace of oil on my face. I absolutely cannot believe it. I'm floored. What an amazing product! I can't wait to try the peel, and see what a difference both products will make in several weeks!

I did, however, have a few questions. I can't afford the entire Kavi line (the Coral and peel already put me back a little, but so far totally worth it!) so are there any specific brands of toners or moisturizers (esp. moisturizers) that would work well with the Kavi system that I can get at a drug store? Also, I'm a little scared to try the peel, as I only have two days off work per week and I don't want to go back looking like a peely monster. I'm in customer service and it wouldn't go over well. LOL. Judging by some of the answers I've seen so far on the forum, it sounds like the peel takes a day or two to actually start 'peeling' the skin. If I have off work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, what day of the week would be best to administer the peel so that I can spend those days looking like a peely freak in the comfort of my own home? Haha. Thanks for making such awesome stuff, you've gained a lifetime customer in less than 48 hours!

I'm trying to figure out what products i should get. Im 20 years old, male. My face is normally oily and shiny. I have a few break outs here and there that i would like to get rid of but nothing major. My other concerns are dark circles under my eyes and a red tone to my face. I do tan indoors which doesnt help. My body never burns but it seems like my face gets somewhat redder/pink when i tan, like im blushing. I dont believe i have rosacea though. I placed an order for the 8% salicylic acid hoping to help my breakouts and help with what ever sun damage is happening to my face.

So basically im looking for something to eliminate:
-dark/brownish circles under my eyes
-acne
-oil
-redness

First of all, this is a wonderful site. It has so much info that is easy to understand. My problem is just making sure I pick the right thing and that is where I need your help.
I am 47, going thru the last parts of the change of life. I have always had problem skin. Big pores and breakouts. I will list my problems now that I am facing with my face -
1-scarring from acne AND from picking at my skin. I know now what can happen when you pick at your acne breakouts.
2-large pores
3-WRINKLES
4-looks like I have some under the skin pimples but they are not red, just seem to look "bumpy" in places.
5-clogged pores-even after I try and wash, mask etc...
6-I had profraxel/microabrasion procedure done abour 3 years ago but never saw much of a change. If anything, it seems like now that my skin tears easy. It is super soft.
7-Dry patches of skin like my nose, cheeks, chin but yet it feel oily too.

I am interested in your peels first and foremost but am having a struggle as what one i need to use.
Switch to Coral Kavi

Hi! I am buying the Coral Kavi and have read rave reviews about it. I have noticed that it contains 2% sulfur and salicylic acid. My dermatologist gave me a bar of pure sulfur soap. That bar is now gone, and I am searching for another with sulfur. Here's is my daily regimen: Morning-2% Salicyclic Acid cleanser, Moisturizer, Acanya; Night-Sulfur, Salicyclic Cleansing Pad, Moisturizer, Acanya. Does this sound good? My face has never been clearer. Even though my acne isn't completely gone, it still looks good. So, here's my question. Will the Coral Kavi work me? I am scared to death that it will break me out, but would it since my skin is used to and already exposed to sulfur and salicylic acid?

I have a client tomorrow and just realised I don't have any Salicylic so I was going to use a glycolic peel on him. He's combo skin with some acne on his cheeks. I was going to use a glycolic peel on him, then after wards use Emu oil on him after the peel. Is a glycolic peel to strong for this treatment. I also have some one of your bars of soap, but it dosent say the name on it, it's a rather pinkish color so I'm assuming it's the coral kavi soap.. just not sure. If you could answer these question for me I'm greatly appreciate it.

NEW TO KAVI (QUESTION RE:CORAL KAVI)

HI I JUST PURCHASED THE CORAL KAVI AND HAVE YET TO START USING IT. IM CURRENTLY USING TEA TREE OIL SOAP, WITCH HAZEL AS TONER, TEA TREE OIL AND JOJOBA OIL AS MY ROUTINE SKIN TX. THIS REGIMEN HELPED WITH MY MODERATE ACNE , BUT NOT TOTALLY SATISFIED WITH RESULT. IM TRYING TO ELIMINATE THE TEA TREE SOAP (BOTH THE CLEANSER AND THE OIL ITSELF) AS I START THE CORAL SOAP. HOWEVER, IM RETAINING THE WITCH HAZEL AND JOJOBA OIL AS I BELIEVE THESE HELP WITH TONING,CLEANSING AND MOISTURIZING MY SKIN. DO YOU THINK IT'S OK TO USE THIS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CORAL SOAP?

IM ALSO CONSIDERING YOUR SALICYLIC PEEL 8% AND OR SULFUR SUSPENSION. WHICH OF THESE PRODUCTS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND BETTER? DO YOU THINK THE CORAL SOAP BY ITSELF IS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH AS A TX? THANK YOU!

i notice you use colloidal sulfur in your coral kavi and aqua bars. is colloidal sulfur more effective than precipitated sulfor or volcanic sulfur? what is the difference exactly? is one sulfur more effective than the other when it comes to clearing acne or are they both equally effective? is there a certain amount of time you should leave the coral kavi on your face for? would leaving it on for a couple of minutes like 5 minutes make it more effective in cleaning the face than say 30 seconds or a minute? thanks

I just ordered the sulfur suspension liquid and I'm wondering what the best way to apply it is. I use the coral kavi soap and know it is supposed to be applied after washing with the coral.

I'm assuming the skin should be allowed to dry before the suspension liquid is applied?

I'm starting to alternate cleansing with a mild, non-medicated cleanser. Would it be best to use the sulfur liquid only with the coral soap?

Does the bottle need to be shaked before used? The liquid seems a little runny and grainy.

Am I supposed to apply generously or a thin layer?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

UNBELIEVABLE RESULTS!!!! YAY!!!

I am a 36 year old woman with very few wrinkles and fair skin who had been experiencing adult acne since my mid to late 20's. These were large, cyst like acne that never came to a head and were very painful. Along with that I had many blackheads and my pores became enlarged. I also experienced very intense painful breakouts during my menstrual cycle - these would often leave scars in the same place month after month, never allowing my skin to heal. I believe that stress and the cosmetics I was using were to blame.

Well, thanks to your products, in under 3 months I became acne free!! I have stopped the cyst-like acne completely and only have an occasional whitehead that comes and goes within a day or two. I have fewer clogged pores and blackheads than at any other time in my life!! My pores are visibly getting smaller all the time. AMAZING. I get compliments all the time!!

I use the Coral Kavi soap, Kavi Toner, Sulfur Suspension (during menstruation to be proactive), Complex P for spot treatment, Glycolipidic Moisturizer, Hyaluronic Acid 95 and SPF 30 every day. I faithfully used the Salicylic Acid 8 for 12 weeks (once a week) and will now begin to use the Glycolic Acid 30 to help lift any remaining scars I have.

Your line has been a blessing to me - my skin is very fair and every acne blemish or scar looks glaringly red. I feel much more confident and I never have to worry about it my skin will behave when trying to make a good impression.

Thanks so much!!!

--Sue

question about sulfur

does a product that contains more sulfur means its gonna be more effective against acne? like for instance, one of your bars (the coral kavi one) has 2% colloidal sulfur and the aqua bar has 1%. is 2% colloidal sulfur gonna be more drying than the aqua bar? is 2% more effective against acne than 1% colloidal sulfur? is 1% colloidal sulfur basically the same as 5% precipitated sulfur? i notice your acne lotion has only 6.6% precipitated sulfur, why only 6.6 and not 10%? i reckon 10% sulfur is more drying, but has it been proven if more sulfur is better than sulfur at lower percentages? thanks

exfoliation.

I just recently received and started the acne treatment set, level III. I have combination skin. Usually it can tends to get oily during the day between washes, but after cleansing it typically gets over-dried.

I have been using the Coral Kavi, and the Hyaluronic Acid 95 now for about 3 days and already I'm seeing favorable effects. I have tried the SPF 30 as well and it seems to work but not quite as well as the HA95 as far as keeping the skin moisturized.
So far the products seem to be working well at the amounts I am applying them. Any tips or suggestions?

My question: In the past I have noticed my skin to clear up when I regularly exfoliate with a hot towel on to unclog pores. But it seemed that I needed to do it almost every other day or at least every third day. Is this an ok non-chemical form of exfoliation? Also I have some acne scars from previous bouts. Will exfoliating this way cause more scarring or be harmful in any way? If it's o.k, how often is advisable? I know I said a lot out there, take your time to get back to me.

what's happening with my skin?

I started using Kavi Coral 23 days ago. Prior to that I was using 10% BP and Purpose facial cleanser. My skin was red, irritated, flakey (even though I've used BP for years). Usually the BP controlled most of my acne but I got 4 cysts at once and that's when I found the Kavi products on the internet. Anyway, after a week of using the Coral cleanser (only), my skin had nearly cleared up. I was so excited! I then bought the 8% SA mask and have been using it weekly since day 6. Then, on day 14, I broke out quite badly with little red pimples/whiteheads all over my face. The pimples weren't deep but they were EVERYWHERE (which is not normal for me, mostly I just get them on my jawline/cheeks). I started using the toner at night around day 17.

Here's my problem: those little pimples are still everywhere on my face! It's like all my pores are clogged and bumpy. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with my routine, using the wrong products, or if I need additional products, OR if this is normal and I should expect my skin to get better. Oh, I have combination skin that gets super oily but dry/flakey/sensitive at the same time. The Kavi products haven't irritated my skin at all, no dryness/flaking/redness at all.

I'd love to keep using your products and find a solution if possible!

Best for my skin??

Hello- I'm 29 and have had adult acne since I gave birth to my daughter 3 years ago. I am finding that salicylic acid (in over the counter products) is working better than all of the preceriptions that my dermatologist has given me to try. I've been using a wash with 2% and an overnight get with 5%. I am prone to fever blisters/cold sores on my lips AND chin - so I have to stay away from glycolic and lactic acids. I haven't had any problmes (so far) with the salicylic acid. Have you heard of the salicylic acid being safe for those who suffer from facial herpes outbreaks? Also, would the 8% mask be a good match for me? I'd like to get rid of the hyperpigmentation spots I have from old acne, as well as keep my skin as clear as possible. How is the mask used/applied? How often? Thank you for your advice. Jennifer

I have been diagnosed with perioral dermititis. It is not very noticable now but every 4-5 days I get the usual redness, bumps, flaking etc. I was going to try one of your sulfur products on it like the blue kavi cleansing bar. Would you recommend this? I use nothing to clean my face except water-I was told to do this. When my chin and lip area get red I use tetracycline 200 mg only 1 a day. It goes away but I do not like the use of anitbotics. I thought that sulfer would help. Thank you-

KAVI and acne

I have questions regarding your product and which is best for me. I am a long time acne sufferer since age 12- now at age 34. I've tried EVERYTHING from Derms, Everything overcounter, and online. Some with REALLY BAD effects on my skin acne worstening or severly red irritation/SWELLING. which I dont ever want to happen again I cant miss work because of a facial reaction that is severe or not. For the last year I've used cetephil cleanser moisture as needed am/pm with 10%benzoil peroxide only at night. Was pretty good control for a year, then a pretty bad break out, I switched to a different cleanser after a week of trying to get the breakout under control no results. I just dont know how safe the BP everyday long term & it does cause reddness to my skin that is there all the time I have for 2 weeks only been using cyclic wash 2-3 times per day. Is sulfer safe/effective option for acne relief long term? Will the soaps cause clogged pores/irritation as others do? I've heard ingredients that keep the soap shaped actually can clog pores. Per Paula Choice Beauty Bible book. What soap is best for me? My skin type is unknown, it gets oily throughout the day/somewhat sensitive/reactive, but is pretty dry after washing except after cetephil its pretty moist. What do you suggest? I want a easy regimine and if I could have good results with a soap I would be SO Happy Is it ok to use moisturizer? Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you regarding my many questions.
