The KAVI Post-Peel Neutralizer is a sodium bicarbonate based solution for the safe and effective neutralization of KAVI Glycolic Acid or KAVI Salicylic Acid peels.
Peel Neutralization Procedures |
(for facial peels) Prior to initiating termination of the peel procedure, cover eyes with damp 2 in. x 2 in. gauze sponges. |
Initiate termination of the peel by applying a liberal amount of the Post-Peel Neutralizer to target area (2:1 neutralizer-to-peel ratio). |
A noticeable foaming reaction should be observed on the skin for a period of approximately 15 seconds. The end of the foaming reaction indicates neutralization of the peel. |
The treated area may then be rinsed with cold water or covered with a cold compress to provide additional relief from any residual sensations of burning, stinging, or discomfort. |
Repeat Steps 2-4 if burning or stinging persists. |
Remove gauze sponges covering eyes (if facial peel) and pat-dry the skin with a sterile pad. |
Follow all post-peel warnings and precautions closely. |
